Our mission is to document and make accessible over 1,000 Yoruba literary works, spanning prose, poetry, drama, children’s books, and oral narratives.
Our scope goes beyond the texts themselves.

Why We Created Lítíréṣọ̀ Yorùbá
Lítíréṣọ̀ Yorùbá was brought to existence to make up for the almost inexistence of Yoruba literature on the webspace. The initiators of this project recognised the need for a novel idea that will project and amplify Yoruba literature for global visibility. It is a project midwifed by several phone calls, social media chats, and meticuluous collaborations of like-minded individuals
